Containing a litany of harmful provisions too long to count, AmFree Chamber will continue fighting this misguided bill so Americans can keep their credit card rewards points.
WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, Gentry Collins, CEO of the American Free Enterprise Chamber of Commerce (AmFree Chamber) issued the following statement in response to the reintroduction of the Credit Card Competition Act:
“From increased security risks to reduced credit access to the erosion of rewards programs, the litany of harmful provisions in the Credit Card Competition Act is too long to count, and it is deeply unfortunate to see this legislation rear its ugly head once again. Make no mistake, AmFree Chamber will continue fighting this misguided bill, especially among lawmakers who hold themselves up as opponents of harmful government overreach. During a time when many Americans are struggling with increased costs and the hangover from the Biden years, now is not the time to rob millions of the credit card benefits they rely on for dining, shopping and travel.”
