DES MOINES – Today, Rob Engstrom, President of the American Free Enterprise Chamber of Commerce, issued the following statement in response to the economic plan outlined by Vice President Kamala Harris:
“Vice President Harris’ brazen attacks on American free enterprise will strangle the American economy and kill jobs. Until today, this type of government knows best, top-down scheme was more often associated with the U.S.S.R. than the United States of America. From John F. Kennedy to Bill Clinton, previous leaders of the Democratic Party recognized the business community as a key driver of upward mobility. Instead of demonizing the private sector, Vice President would be well served to outline a regulatory climate that cuts federal red tape and creates policies that drive job growth.”
