Nominated by President Trump to serve as vice chair for supervision at the Federal Reserve, Bowman’s confirmation key toward restoring Fed to its core mission and implementing a deregulatory agenda that will allow economy to thrive
Washington D.C. – Today, the American Free Enterprise Chamber of Commerce (AmFree Chamber) called on the U.S. Senate to confirm Federal Reserve Governor Michelle “Miki” Bowman, President Donald Trump’s nominee to serve as the Vice Chair of the Federal Reserve for Supervision.
“Confirming Miki Bowman would not only establish President Trump’s influence over the Federal Reserve, but also restore the central bank back to its core mission of maintaining financial stability rather than advancing partisan policy goals, as became common place during the Biden Administration,” said Rob Engstrom, President of the AmFree Chamber. “Miki Bowman is a changemaker who is unafraid to stand up and stop misguided financial policy. She is well equipped to balance the interests of both Main Street and Wall Street, and help enact the Trump deregulatory agenda that will allow our economy to prosper and thrive.”
On May 6, the U.S. Senate Committee on Banking voted to advance Bowman’s nomination.
