During congressional testimony, General Counsel Crystal Carey pledges to resolve existing backlog of cases and prioritize fact & merit over giveaways to union special interests, providing needed certainty to the business community
Washington D.C. – Today, Gentry Collins, CEO of the American Free Enterprise Chamber of Commerce (AmFree Chamber), issued the following statement on National Labor Relations Board (NLRB) General Counsel Crystal Carey testifying before a U.S. House Committee on Education and Workforce Subcommittee on Health, Employment, Labor, and Pensions hearing examining the NLRB:
“Last week’s testimony represented a welcome and long overdue change of pace from the Biden years. We are particularly encouraged by Ms. Carey’s commitment to quickly resolve the significant backlog of unresolved cases before the NLRB and her support of a fair and evidence-based approach to intaking cases. By prioritizing facts and merit over political ideology or giveaways to union special interests, the NLRB can provide needed certainty to the business community. To fully deliver on these important reforms and undo the damage of the Biden era, the NLRB must maintain a quorum so it can operate effectively and restore balance to American labor policy. NLRB must prioritize resolution of the backlog, and correct abuses of regulatory discretion under the Biden NLRB.”
