The American Free Enterprise system has made our economy and country the envy of the world. Yet today it faces growing threats and challenges from all sides. As the list of federal regulations increases dramatically year over year, more of our citizens are growing disillusioned. Populist politicians fuel the seeds of discontent, using justified angst over middling growth – especially in the middle of the economy – to push misguided policies that further inhibit prosperity. Meanwhile, the national debt and deficit climb to new highs with no end in sight.
Against this backdrop, the American Free Enterprise Chamber of Commerce has emerged as a firewall against government overreach and a beacon for common sense. We advocate for policies that will extend rather than extinguish the American experiment and ensure that future generations have ample opportunities marked by freedom and upward mobility.
